This material hasn't been used in a 3DP system yet, but it seems relevant here.
This is a tower designed and tested for water-scarce communities in Ethiopia. It captures water vapor in the air and condenses it using superhydrophilic/hydrophobic pattering materials. The materials are "bio-inspired" by the mesoscopic patterning of Namib beetles shells. There isn't much information on their website about the materials, but this seems ripe for application in 3DP -- could we make smaller models, single home versions? Does anyone know anything more about these materials?
