It is 2015! Who's hiding the functional electronic lab notebook?
As a chemist, I'm frustrated by the lack of options and find most of the software out there to be severely lacking in utility. I could rant extensively about the things I don't like, but...my mother always said, "If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say it at all."
So, instead: here are two ELNs that I don't hate:
eLabFTW - free, open-source, relatively straightforward to setup, functional feature set, great response time from the developer
LabGuru - not free, not open-source, pretty solid workflow: project/milestone hierarchical structure is well-complimented by tag-searching feature, mostly geared towards biology with 'single PI' lab model
What are you using? What am I missing?
